Our client is a leading provider of logistics and supply chain management solutions. Their robust portfolio of solutions includes logistics technology, transportation engineering, civil engineering, and more. To support their continued growth, they are hiring a Cost Estimator to support civil engineering projects through data and cost analysis.
The Civil Engineering Project Manager will play a key role in planning and executing civil engineering projects to meet client expectations. This individual will be responsible for managing efforts from the internal team and third-party consultants and construction contractors. They will oversee quality control, review designs and maintain schedules and budgets.

Focus:
• Perform cost analysis, cost control, and reporting for logistics/civil engineering projects, while also analyzing cost metrics and conducting risk assessments.
• Work collaboratively with the engineering and routing teams to determine project scope and define requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive cost data for proposals and contract negotiations and support the bid process.
• Organize, monitor, and control project costs in accordance with contractual requirements and company procedures.
• Provide financial reporting and trending data, advising management when forecasted costs exceed approved budgets.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure proposed scope of work is understood.
• Manage consultants and contractors throughout project execution.
• Interpolate survey designs and LiDAR.
• Prepare and review construction drawings for various transport projects.
• Provide on-site support on high-risk logistics projects.
• Engage with governing bodies (e.g., DOT and Counties) as necessary.
Skill Set:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field desired.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in cost engineering/estimating, planning, and scheduling in the civil engineering field.
• Functional knowledge of cost accounting.
• Strong understanding of logistics/civil engineering processes and materials.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, suppliers, colleagues, business partners, and local/state DOT & permitting representatives.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office Suite.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and AutoTURN/Vehicle Tracking.
• Availability to travel 2-3 days per week once per month.
